John and Ashley first met like many millennial couples, on Tinder! After swiping right, they learned of each other’s love for dogs, movies, and desire to travel and explore the world. Ashley began her career as a registered nurse and John started working in college athletic recruiting. As their intimate circle of 2 added in family and friends, their love continued to grow as they eventually moved themselves and their two dogs into a home in Illinois where they enjoy homemade meals and nights by the fireplace. After 4 ½ years of dating and after spending 3 months planning a proposal that fell apart due to COVID-19, John was determined to come up with a new plan that gave Ash her perfect moment and the sunset gods obliged his request. John told NGP that Ashley had requested 3 things for her proposal: she wanted to be dressed nice, she wanted to have her nails done, and she wanted pictures of the moment. I don’t think either of them were expecting it all to come together quite as perfectly as it did! Thunderstorms rolled through Marco Island all day from morning until about an hour until they headed to the beach and the moment where he got on one knee couldn’t have been more romantic. They look forward to their wedding and a lifetime of love ahead!
