Marco Island Marriott Wedding | Melissa + Joshua | Florida Wedding Photographers

When Josh and Melissa met in college, they had no idea they would have a beautiful and absolutely perfect wedding day together over 12 years later.  After college, Melissa moved to Columbia, Missouri for law school and Josh moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, so they lost touch.  However, thanks to Melissa’s posting of way too many photos of her dog, Thomas, on Facebook (he’s cute, can you blame her?!), Josh struck up a conversation with her one day when he sarcastically mentioned to her that he was worried about Thomas since she hadn’t posted any photos of him in at least a week.  From there, the casual conversations continued and they made plans to meet on March 31, 2013, while Josh was in Columbia.  They hit it off immediately and didn’t stop talking and laughing once!  With Josh living in Oklahoma at the time, the next year put a lot of miles on both of their cars, but with each visit they fell more and more in love.  Melissa took a new job in Saint Louis, Missouri at the end of 2013, and Josh moved there shortly thereafter.  Then on May 31, 2014, Melissa thought she was going to a normal painting class with Josh, but was in for a big surprise when she learned that Josh had planned the entire evening and got down on one knee and proposed!  They both knew immediately they wanted a fun beach wedding to celebrate with their closest family and friends and once they learned of the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort and its gorgeous white sand beach, it was the obvious choice.  On December 15, 2014, Melissa walked down the sandy aisle with her dad by her side to marry her best friend, Josh.  The entire day was absolutely ideal and amazing and they could not have pictured any other way to begin their life together as husband and wife. Please congratulate the newlyweds by leaving your comments below 🙂
