All love stories have to start somewhere, and for Nikki and Mike it was the florescent-lit aisles of Publix Supermarket. Working in the bakery, Nikki saw Mike-from-Produce daily for almost a year, but never spoke to him. She didn’t even know his name. Mike noticed her, but only his colleague knew about his interest. Both shy, their story might have ended there if not for the interference from their friends. One day, Mike’s coworker dragged him into the bakery, marched up to Nikki’s close friend Beth, and announced that Mike liked Nikki. Beth immediately called Nikki and said, “her life was going to change forever!” And it did! That conversation led to a lunch-break date over ice cream, followed by dinner and a movie. A year later they moved in together. As a couple they were so in love and in sync, it wasn’t a matter of “if” but “when” he would propose – which he did three years later with the help of his daughter, Lilly. Their Italian-inspired wedding at the Naples Botanical Garden brought together their friends and family for a magical evening. Guests were enchanted by the fairytale setting, the blossoming Queen’s Wreath Vine, and the love between Nikki and Mike.
