As children, Rob and Kim lived just a few miles apart in a small Indiana town. Forty years later, they would once again live only a few miles apart, but this time in Naples, Florida. Their paths had still never crossed until one day in February 2014, they finally met online. There was an immediate connection from the first conversation on the phone to their first date. Rob and Kim discovered their shared Midwest roots, many common interests and life-long goals. He was the answer to Kim’s prayers for a husband she had long dreamed of having by her side. Her son, Christopher, never having known his father, longed for and prayed daily with tears for a “daddy” who would love, play and teach him about life. The abundance of sweet and tender love that exudes from both Kim and Christopher was exactly what Rob had always dreamed of having in his life. This is truly a love story, but it’s also a fairy tale about a whole new family that has come together. Never having any children of his own, Rob is currently in the process of adopting Christopher. The couple was married on June 4, 2015 during the most gorgeous sunset they had ever witnessed. The wedding took place at a private Port Royal beach estate in Naples, FL. Their immediate families were present and all were accompanied by a Bag Piper to ring in their Scottish heritage.
