Two weeks ago we photographed a wedding of our good old Friends Reina and Luis. Reina, a native New Yorker, moved to Florida during her Jr. Year of High School for a change of scenery. Luis was born in The Dominican Republic, and moved to Miami at the age of 8 with his mother, then moved to Southwest Florida in 2003. Little did they know, they’d meet their future spouse with the moves. They used to hang out all the time going out to the clubs as good friends for many years. One day in 2007, Luis caught Reina completely off guard by telling her how he had felt for a long time. Just a few months later, in November of 2007, they became an official couple. At the end of 2008 they welcomed into the world their daughter Jayla. At one year of dating, Luis got down on one knee with a jewelry box and pretended to be proposing but started laughing once he saw her terror and showed her brand new diamond earrings 🙂 After four and a half years of dating, Luis yet again took Reina by surprise while she was sitting studying for an exam and proposed to her. And of course, she said YES!! The Queen has officially met her King 🙂
