Marco Island Marriott Wedding | Jennifer + Gerry | Florida Weddings

Jen and Gerry met while working together in the health care field. It wasn’t long before they realized that they shared many interests and goals. After just a few dates, they knew that they were meant to be together. Marco Island has been a long time favorite vacation spot for Jen and her family. During their annual trips to the island, they would watch weddings on the beach while staying at the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort. Jen always dreamed that one day she would be that bride getting married in such a beautiful tropical paradise. The first time Gerry visited the island with Jen, they watched a wedding from their balcony of the Marriott. Jen shared her vision that they would be there one day dancing under the stars for their own wedding. In the summer of 2011, after completing her Master’s degree, Jen decided to join her family on a trip to Naples for some much needed R&R. Gerry told her he was unable to go, but a few days into the trip, he made a late night surprise appearance! That night, Jen had called him, but he was not answering his phone. When he called her back a few hours later, he told her he was on his way to see her. She thought he was playing a joke on her, until she heard his GPS in the background telling him to head to the Tamiami Trail. The next day, after relaxing in the sun and enjoying a nice dinner, Gerry took Jen to the Naples Pier where he got down on one knee and popped the question on the beach at sunset. Jen and Gerry’s wedding day could not have been more perfect! Just as Jen had envisioned, they had a beautiful, intimate ceremony and spent the evening dancing under the stars with their family and friends. They are looking forward to a lifetime of love, laughter and happily ever after!
